Rock Climbing

Sierra de los Padres
Via Route 226, 20th Km: excellent boulder zone with over 200 problems. There’s a guide with all the information.
Vigilance Sierra
Via Route 226 (toward Balcarce) 45th Km. It is maybe the best Sport Climbing zone of Argentina. Recently opened to the public, it has more than 60 equipped roads -which go from 6th to 8th position in French scale- and the Refuge called “La Vigilancia”.

Flying Places

Pilgrim’s Sierras: Route 226, Km. 26. This zone has ramps oriented to Northwest and North, which provide interesting flying possibilities.

Mountain Bike

Alongside all Mar del Plata’s coast we can enjoy bike-tourism and Mountain Bike activities, being able to arrive at Parque Camet or the cliffs; or through the route to Laguna de los Padres and Sierra de los Padres. There is an interesting MTB circuit in the Campsite “Paso de Piedra” at km. 14,5 of Route 88 to Batán, with interesting unevenness and its forest.

Trekking

An activity for everybody which combines with camping, climbing and rappel. Independently, we can do our journeys in Laguna de los Padres, Sierra de los Padres, Sierra La Brava (all of it along Route 226).

Besides, we can go trekking across campsites of the stone pit zone or across near mountains, together with the local guides who will give us everything necessary and complementary adventure, ecological or didactic activities.

4x4

In Sierra de los Padres there’s a private circuit for 4x4 vehicles, with embankments, fords and other obstacles in order to learn basic driving techniques. Recently inaugurated, this place invites everyone to know it.

Moreover, in Parador El Alamo –towards the south on Route 11- activities and 4x4 journeys along the Atlantic coast or the dirt roads of the zone are organized.

Skydiving

Courses are dictated and jumps given in the Aero Club Mar del Plata. The tandem baptism jumps are made with an instructor from 3000 meters height and represent 45’’ of free fall at 200 km./h. velocity; then when the parachute is opened there’s a 10’ flight commanded by the passenger and finally a safe and sound light landing. Jump video and photos are offered. As from 17 years old.
Aero Club Mar del Plata, Route 88, 9,5th Km.

Because of its school and service variety, Mar del Plata constitutes an excellent parachuting and flying centre.
